Blackburn Rovers is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Energy Check, who have signed a deal to become the club’s official social media sponsor.

The independent consultancy firm, which provides expert analysis on utility service and supply, will benefit from the Club's online presence until the end of the 2017-18 season, with a view to a long-term link-up.

The deal will see the company's logo included on Rovers’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts.

Danny Davis, Rovers’ Business Development Manager, said: "We are delighted to be working with The Energy Check moving forward. There is huge value in the Club's social media reach, as we rapidly approach half a million followers across our three main platforms.

"This new deal reflects the Club's goal of becoming more energy efficient, and will serve as an effective way of saving money by lowering energy costs, a benefit which will also extend to our loyal fanbase."

David Winton, CEO of The Energy Check, added: “It’s been quite a long time in the making but I’m finally delighted to announce The Energy Check’s partnership with Blackburn Rovers.

"Blackburn Rovers FC are a club at the very centre of the local community and as the Club's Official Social Media Sponsor we are looking forward to supporting the success of the club, engaging with the fans and serving the local business community.

"We will be running some initiatives for the fans over the coming weeks so please keep an eye out and make sure to utilise our Gas and Electricity Switching site at www.theenergycheck.co.uk – it literally takes 30 seconds and I’ve seen a customer save £622 a year just last week!

"We want to deliver huge savings for the club, the fans and the local business community and we’ll be tracking this and reporting on it so we can monitor the positive impact we have on the club and the local area.”
