LCWS Recycling Ltd. based on Wyre Street in Padiham are an IT and electrical recycling company who have assisted a number of charities recently by donating much needed Computer Equipment. One such charity is Furniture for Education Worldwide (FEW)

Furniture for Education worldwide (FEW) is a National Charity and was launched in November 2008 by the then Secretary of state for Education, Ed Balls MP.  The charity was established by Terry Burns MBE (Former Chairman - Lancashire County Council) and Mike Tull (Former Head teacher- Marsden Heights Community College). The charity whose aim is to send surplus and redundant furniture to schools in deprived counties around the world, allowing children to be able to sit on a chair at a desk rather than on the floor, allowing the children to work in a more stuctured environment

LCWS are supporting Furniture for Education (FEW) by donating school furniture they take in from schools when they collect redundant ICT and Electrical Equipment as part of their FREE Recycling service. Recently Padiham Primary School provided 18 redundant desks and a large number of books which LCWS donated on their behalf to the charity.

LCWS also donated a number of PC's to the charity who sent them as part of a container load of equipment and furniture being shipped to deserving schools overseas. One of these charities is the Moroccan Childrens Trust:

LCWS donated a number of PC's and Laptops to the Moroccan Childrens Trust for use in the IT suite at Centre Amane in Taroudant Morocco.

Morrocan childrens Trust said "We are so grateful to Jack and Dave Bannister and LCWS Recycling Ltd in Lancashire, UK, who donated 8 computers and 2 laptops for an IT suite at Centre Amane in Taroudant, Morocco. The kids were loving 'paint' this morning and this summer will be learning about how to use a computer and how to stay safe on the internet! We need to keep up with the times and provide children with the opportunity to explore safely the world of technology!

Everyone at MCT and Fondation Amane Pour La Protection de l'Enfanceare so thankful for the opportunities provided by the generosity of our supporters.

Jack Bannister managing director of LCWS Recycling Ltd. said "we are very pleased to see how the computers we donated are being used by the children in the IT suite at Centre Amane in Taroudant Morocco. They are really making a difference enabling the children to advance their IT skills ".
