After the roaring success of the first Hive Bee Social event in June, the Hive Social group again wowed local businesses with their second soiree - a cocktail making master class with a twist. This fabulous event was hosted by The Seafood Pub Company at The Oyster & Otter and was generously sponsored by the lovely LH Recruitment.

Guests were greeted with a delicious cocktail on arrival before the real magic began. Mixology experts from the Seafood Pub Company hosted a cocktail master class, showing the audience the tricks of the trade and even inviting guests up to try their hand themselves.

The event was planned to come to a close around 7.30pm, but a number of guests appeared to be attempting to work their way through the cocktail list well into the night!

A charity raffle was also held with the proceeds being split between Hive’s  nominated charity, Blackburn Youth Zone and the Hive Social Committee fund.

The Hive Bee Social events are free of charge to Hive members, however numbers are limited and demand is high, so this was another sold out event.

The Hive Social committee has been established to introduce a social aspect to The Hive network and the committee’s remit is to get as many business people from the local community together as often as possible in a more informal environment.

The events will be hosted on a monthly basis in local venues and everyone is welcome, whatever their level within a business. The ultimate aim is to engage more people within the local business community and to widen the Hive’s reach.
