Ribble FM the CIC not-for-profit Community Radio Station for The Ribble Valley is one year old on 106.7fm.

The station has been online and on smartphone apps for 2 years but FM first broadcast live to the Ribble Valley on 106.7fm on 25th July 2016.

Based within The Grand Venue in Clitheroe the station has been built on Community and Business Support and the people of the Ribble Valley.

With over 400 studio based interviews in the first year, Ribble FM is truly “The Voice of the Valley” and has bigger and better things in the pipeline.

Kath Lord-Green Executive Director and Station Manager says “Without fantastic volunteers, support from local businesses and the Community we could not have grown as fast as we have, we appreciate it all and we can’t wait to grow even bigger with or New Board Contributing to that in our 2nd Year”

“It’s just amazing what has been achieved for a not-for-profit, brand new radio station”

The New Board comprises of: Adrian Hirst (local Businessman) Jane Viljoen (Psychological Coach), Peter Dickinson (Growth Coach), John Houldsworth (Solicitor) and James Evans (Accountant) as well as Kath Lord-Green Station Manager and Steven Lancaster (Building/Premises provider).

In independent research carried out by Lancaster University 63.2% of those randomly questioned in Clitheroe, Waddington and Whalley had heard of and listened to Ribble FM (all stats coming out in August).

The “clicked to play” on our stream has been clicked 0ver 20,000 times in the last year.

We have had over 10,000 “listens back” to interviews on Soundcloud over the last year.
