Each year in Lancashire and South Cumbria more than 9,000 people are diagnosed with cancer, in addition to the 30,000 people living with or beyond the disease.

The Rosemere Cancer Centre, based at Royal Preston Hospital, is the region’s specialist centre for cancer treatment.  First opened in 1997, and with the support of the charity the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, it provides world class cancer treatment to thousands of patients from throughout the region every year.

In 2017, to mark the Centre’s 20th Anniversary, the Rosemere Cancer Foundation is launching a major appeal to raise £1.5 million for three exciting and ground breaking projects:

  • The DaVinci Xi Robotic Surgical System

The highest specification robot, the first of its kind in the North of England, to support the work of surgeons in hard to reach, complex surgical procedures particularly for gastrointestinal, bowel and gynaecological cancers.

  • A Cancer Ward for the future

A re-developed Ribblesdale Ward to offer improved, more comfortable and relaxed private areas for relatives wishing to stay close to their loved ones in their final days with drink and snack making facilities.

  • A State of the Art research facility

A laboratory and pharmacy dispensary, equipped to the highest standard, to facilitate clinical trials and help develop the treatment of tomorrow today.

To hear from medical specialists about the huge benefits these projects will bring to patients from across the region, and how your business can help make them a reality, please attend one of our Business Networking events at The Rosemere Cancer Centre, Royal Preston Hospital.

With your support we can make a real difference to local cancer patients.
