After opening 21st November 2013, Acorn Cleaners have been going from strength to strength. Cheryl Duffy and her expanding team have served over 5,000 Customers in a fast paced year. Cleaning suits, dresses, duvets and all items that are currently dry cleaned.

In a first for Accrington, indeed for the whole of Lancashire, Acorn Cleaners installed a Professional Wetcare system, Miele’s Dry Clean alternative. The system does not use harmful solvents, but utilises water, nature’s best cleaning solvent, and technologically advanced, safe biodegradable detergents to render clothes truly clean. The result is a softer, fresher and greener product. It is a highly sophisticated system which is environmentally friendly and kinder on the skin.

The once derelict building, 17 Whalley Road Accrington, has been refurbished extensively and since being opened by then Mayor of Hyndburn, Judith Addison, and Mayoress Kathleen Pratt, back in November 2013, Acorn Cleaners have taken on more staff, purchased a vehicle for commercial deliveries and extended its capacity to meet the ever growing demand. Plus, they have numerous trading partners across Hyndburn.

Acorn Cleaners thoroughly researched the Dry Clean market before investing in a “Best in Class” solution by opting for the Miele Professional Dry Clean alternative. Cheryl Duffy states “The Customer response has exceeded initial expectations for a new innovative product. We are extremely pleased with the system’s performance and our Customers receptiveness to change. Acorn Cleaners, Accrington, are Miele’s premier Wetcare site for Lancashire”.
