AN East Lancashire car dealership boss is celebrating a national accolade.
Chris Eccles has beaten off competition from thousands of other car dealerships throughout the country to be crowned National Dealer Principal 2012 at this year’s annual Motor Trader Awards.
The dealership was also shortlisted in the Customer Care Award category.
And Bowker Blackburn was one of only two BMW dealerships in the country to be acknowledged and one of only two car dealerships in the North West to feature amongst over 80 companies shortlisted.
The awards celebrate best practice in the car retailing business. Chris received his award from BBC presenter Jake Humphries at the Motor Trader Awards gala dinner at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
Bowker dealer principal Chris Eccles said: “We were honoured that Bowker Blackburn had been shortlisted twice. But to win one of the awards is a very special feeling. This is a massive accolade for the business. And although the award is a personal one - it’s testament to the work of the whole team, plus support of our customers, that we have all been recognised in this way.”
Bowker Motor Group chief executive Paul Bowker said: “This is a most prestigious award that cements Chris’s position as one of the UK’s most well-respected dealer principals, not only within the BMW Network, but across all car franchises nationwide.”
In March, Bowker was crowned the National Customer Dealer of the Year 2011 by BMW UK.
And in December last year, Bowker become one of only six dealers in the MINI and BMW UK network to have achieved 20 stars in BMW’s national online customer feedback system.
