Supermarket chain snaps up Stacksteads pizza dough

BOOTHS, the quality North West-based supermarket chain, has snapped up pizza dough manufactured in Stacksteads.

The Northern Dough Company range of three dough balls is now available on the shelves of 20 out of 28 stores. It is the first major superstore deal for co-founders Amy and Chris Cheadle, who started the company 10 months ago.

Chris said: “We were confident there was a market for a high-quality, natural alternative to pizza bases and, as the frozen food aisle has been crying out for some innovation, we hope our products will be a huge success.”

I wish them all the luck in the world - it's good to see a small local business succeeding particularly in the current climate. Hope the business rises as well as the dough it manufactures.
