A-LEVEL students were taught the secrets of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Business students at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre were given tips from Farmhouse Fare founder Helen Colley.
Multi-award winning entrepreneur Helen, who founded Farmhouse Fare in her parents’ farmhouse kitchen as an 18 year old, talked to the students about how she grew the company from these humble beginnings.
Her business now supplies to Booths, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons with products including Sticky Toffee Pudding, Triple Chocolate Truffle Bread and Butter Pudding and Luxury Sticky Lemon Sponge Pudding. Nina Payne, Business Lecturer at Burnley College Sixth Form Centre, said: “After building up Farmhouse Fare, its products and customer base over a number of years, Helen sold the multi-million pound business in 2006 but remains Managing Director and the driving force behind new product development.
“Her enthusiasm for her products and the business was inspirational”
