STAFF from the Burnley Warburtons site paid a visit to school children to launch its School Visitors programme.

Caroline Bond, a school visitor based at the bakery site in Billington Road, visited St James Catholic Primary School in Skelmersdale to teach the importance of a healthy, balanced diet through a series of practical workshops.

Mrs Bond said: "I decided to become a School Visitor because I love working with children and educating them on healthy eating so they can hopefully lead a happy and healthy life.

"The sessions help children learn by providing the right tools and information to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing.

"They are always so excited to do the session, they always have lots of questions and love making the sandwiches."
