A MARKETING services specialist has grown after acquiring a digital media agency with big-name national clients.

Blackburn-based mda has absorbed Altrincham-based Pixel Inspiration, which it describes as the UK’s market leading in-store digital media agency.

The mda firm works on the design, sourcing, collation and delivery of marketing materials for brands including Coca-Cola, Heineken, Nestle, Unilever, Morrisons and the British Heart Foundation.

Established in 2004, Pixel Inspiration provides campaign management services and digital signage solutions including design and installation and content creation and delivery across the UK and abroad.

With clients including L’Oreal, Thomas Cook, Argos and Lloyds Bank, Pixel Inspiration has built an enviable reputation in the digital signage industry.

Wayne Chapman, managing director of MDA, said: “We’re thrilled and incredibly excited to welcome the Pixel Inspiration business and team to mda.

“We’ve admired what they do for many years, and their addition to our suite of services alongside marketing fulfilment, premiums design and sourcing, event management and contract packing further expands the benefits both existing and potential clients can realise from our integrated marketing services solution.”

Established in 1987, mda was itself acquired by the £7billion FTSE100 business Bunzl plc in April 2013. It operates from Walker Park and Cardwell Mill in Mill Hill.

Frank van Zanten, chief executive of Bunzl plc, said: “The acquisition of Pixel Inspiration represents a strategic development for our marketing services business in the UK by extending our proposition into digital signage, which is a market expected to grow significantly over the coming years.”

More than 400 people work across the UK for mda, which has five ‘fulfilment centres’ spanning more than 600,000 square feet.

The company describes itself as ‘the UK’s leading marketing services provider, with innovation at heart’.

Carlsberg, one of the world’s leading brewery groups, has been announced as one of mda’s latest customers.
