THE Lancashire Telegraph is launching its own loyalty card offering huge savings with a host of local businesses.

The new scheme, which starts a week today, has been backed by the internationally renown wallpaper and interior design giant Graham and Brown.

The card, which offers big discounts at variety of outlets, will see 20,000 digital versions sent to online subscribers from Friday.

Another 10,000 will be available from participating retailers and the Lancashire Telegraph front counter in Blackburn from Monday March 27.

One big discount is 20 per cent of all wallpaper from Graham and Brown's Blackburn and Padiham outlets.

The stores retail manager, Ben Jonak, said: "We are delighted to take part in this initiative with the Lancashire Telegraph.

"Graham and Brown has been a part of the East Lancashire Community for 70 years and is pleased to give something back to local people and the paper's readers."

The participating retailers and offers are: Alison’s Blinds (Mill Hill): three blinds for £99; Prestige Beds (Blackburn and Burnley): 10 per cent off all items in store including sale items; The Tool Shack (Whalley Bank Trading, Blackburn): in store discount; Reedley Marina (Burnley): one free boat trip on presentation of card per visit; Duxbury’s Garden Centre (Whitesnake, Preston): £5 gift voucher and greetings card with purchases over £25 in store; Vinemill, (Oswaltwistle): 10 per cent off fully-priced items in store; Graham and Brown (Blackburn and Padiham) 20 per cent off all wall papers; Mumu Steak House (Preston) 20 per cent off; Toplex (Blackburn): five per cent discount, free delivery, fitting of new appliance and recycling of old one: and Brand Interiors (Oswaldtwistle, Colne, Preston and Bolton) 10 per cent off all full-priced items.

Loyal Lancashire Telegraph reader and Former Blackburn MP, Jack Straw, said: "I have read the Lancashire Telegraph for 40 years.
