The multimillion pound business, recognised as the UK’s only wet pour specialists, creates rubber mulch and has provided products to more than 5,000 playgrounds.

Its products are also used in pathways as well as sports pitches and the company also operates another two specialist divisions, Billy Bounce and RTC Sport.

Billy Bounce supplies schools and nurseries while RTC Sport supplies rubber crumb for artificial pitches to normalise a ball’s bounce, which aids sports players.

Former transport manager Brian Parsons has joined the company as the operations manager while Nicole Yeardley has been brought in to develop the marketing department of the firm.

Nicole says she is more than happy to have a new challenge and is now keen to help the company expand as well as continuing the development of the other divisions.

She said: “It is very exciting to have such a successful, flourishing business right on your doorstep and for me it’s even more exciting to now be a part of that team.

“Already I can see that the company has huge potential to branch out more, and I’m really looking forward to also helping develop the specialised divisions, Billy Bounce and RTC Sport.”

The company, which was formed in 1993, now has 12 teams operating across the United Kingdom as well as six more abroad.

Helen Jones, the owner of RTC Safety Surfaces said: “I am extremely pleased with the appointment of our new team members.

“I am confident that all three will help with our continued expansion.

“This is an exciting time for RTC and the strong team that we have developed enables us to stay ahead in the marketplace.”
