Pendle's new policy book waits for reaction
9:00pm Friday 19th October 2012 in News
PENDLE’S most important planning document has recently been published and residents can have their say on it.
Coun Tony Greaves, Pendle Council’s executive member for planning policy, said: “This hefty document is not a light read, but it is intended to guide development in Pendle over the next 15 years and will be used on a daily basis by planning officers to help to determine planning applications.
“We think that the plan is sound but we would like to know if local residents agree, especially those who have made comments in earlier consultations.”
Copies of the Core Strategy are available to view at Number One Market Street in Nelson, at the town halls in Colne and Brierfield, Council Shops in Barnoldswick and Earby, all local libraries and on STAN the van.
It can also be viewed online at www.pendle.gov.uk/core strategy.
