Burnley brewery invites walkers to Hallowe'en beer festival

MOORHOUSE’S Brewery is calling on participants from this summer’s Pendle Witch Walk to attend its Hallowe’en Beer Festival.

Around 800 people completed the sponsored walk back in August, including 482 who broke the world record for the largest ever gathering of witches.

The brewery will be screening a DVD recording of the event at the festival and wants those who took part to come along and re-live the occasion.

Burnley Film Makers produced the recording which will be shown during the festival on October 26 and 27.

David Grant, managing director of Moorhouse’s Brewery, said: “We were proud to be a sponsor of Pendle Witch Walk.

“It was the stand-out event of this summer.

“So many people got into the spirit of marking a key moment in our local history – and to raise £30,000 for Pendleside Hospice was magnificent.

“As an added incentive, we’re offering a discount to anyone who turns up in their witch costume or for people sporting their Pendle Witch Walk t-shirt or medal.”
