Praise for the rise in training
10:57am Thursday 27th September 2012 in News
A RISE in the number of apprenticeships has been welcomed by Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson.
He praised the coalition Government after it confirmed a 63 per cent hike in people taking up training during the past year.
Around 25,000 people will get the chance to gain degree-level skills through higher apprenticeships.
Mr Stephenson said: “More people are starting an apprenticeship than ever before, and we finally have a Careers Service that can meet the needs of young people and adults alike.
“I urge ministers to do even more and I hope young people and adults in Pendle take advantage of the fantastic opportunities to gain new skills which are now available to them.”
