AN HISTORIC Vehicle Cavalcade set off from Helmshore Textile Museum on Sunday for a tour of the region, visiting other museums along the way.
Our main picture shows Trudy Helm, 13, from Bacup, admiring a 1911 Model T Ford while, above, five-year-old Henry Hughes, from Helmshore, jumps on board a 1955 MG TF 1500 which had been brought in from Whitworth for the day.
Les and Phil Reid from the Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum, Rochdale, are pictured right showing off a 1940 Dennis Big 6 Pump Escape which served during the World War Two bombings in Manchester and, far right, an admirer runs the rule over some of the engines on display.
