A CAT was given oxygen after being rescued from a house fire.
Firefighters were called to a house in Beaufort Road, Bacup shortly after 2pm.
A fire service spokesman said the incident involved the living room of the property and caused heavy smoke to fill the ground floor of the property.
Fire crews administered oxygen therapy to one cat at the scene using a pet mask, however there were no other casualties the spokesman said.
