A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car this morning.

The 17-year-old pedestrian was hit outside Burnley College in Princess Way just before 11am.

His injuries are not thought to be serious.

A Lancashire Police spokeswoman said: “We were called about 11am by the ambulance service.

“A 17-year-old male was in collision with a car. His injuries are not thought to be serious.”

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said he was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital by ambulance.
