FIREFIGHTERS were called to a house in Burnley to tackle a fire at a 'cannabis farm' yesterday, police said.
Two crews from Burnley and a crew from Nelson were called at around 2.30pm to a home in Brush Street, Burnley.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to the scene by the fire service after a cannabis farm was discovered inside the house.
"No arrests have been made yet."
A fire spokesman said the house was well alight when they arrived but everyone from the building was accounted for and there was no one injured.
Julie Rea, a relative of the neighbouring house's owner, said: "We got a call off my son-in-law to say there was a fire at the house next door.
"We had to get a key for the emergency services and they went inside the to check the fire hadn't spread from next door.
"The house smells of smoke now, there's no damage but I'm glad it wasn't anything more serious or it didn't spread to other houses."
