A BINGO-mad player from Burnley has seen her numbers come up after she was picked from hundreds of hopefuls to star in a new TV ad.

Louise Westall, 43, sent off an e-mail when she discovered that Tombola, a leading online bingo site, was seeking enthusiasts for a new promotional campaign.

And after filming scenes where she and fellow players talk about their games online with chat moderators, Louise has made her TV debut this week.

She said: “I was completely made up when I received the email inviting me to go for the casting. Even at that point I still had doubts that it was real, it was too good to be true. You can imagine my shock when two days after the casting, I got the phone call to say I had made it through and was selected for the advert.”

Her self-confidence had been at rock bottom, after suffering from a number of health problems, and she applied to take part to give herself a boost, having been a member of the online site for around eight years.

Her starring role, follows hot on the heels of her mother starring in a Grand National TV ad two years ago.

Dawn-Elizabeth Howe, Tombola’s marketing head, said: “We are really proud of our latest advert – it not only showcases our unique games but thanks to the players, the ads have real energy which we believe genuinely reflects the sense of community on Tombola.”
