A BURNLEY nursery has had it’s Ofsted rating improved after an inspection at the start of the month.
In a report published recently Selina’s Childcare Services in Brunshaw Avenue has been upgraded to “requires improvement”.

It was graded “inadequate” when it was last inspected in December 2014.
Despite the improvement lead inspector Lynne Naylor said that the centre did not meet the legal requirements for early years settings.
She said: “Group activities for children aged over two years are not always organised to keep all children engaged, actively learning and demonstrating their good social skills.
“Since the last inspection, a new leadership and management team has made steady improvements across the nursery.
“New ways to assess, plan and monitor children’s progress are gradually raising the standards in teaching and learning.”
