A WOMAN from Burnley was arrested after more than 500 travellers turned up to an illegal bare-knuckle boxing match.
Dozens of police officers were called to the event in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, after residents reported gunfire on Sunday.

Inspector Mark Barlow, from Staffordshire police, said officers recovered weapons including axes, fireworks, baseball bats, and hammers, but that there were no reported injuries.
He said: “We are investigating reports that a significant number of members of the travelling community travelled to the our area, from a number of locations outside Staffordshire, on Sunday specifically for a planned illegal fight between members of travelling family groups.
"This forms part of the ongoing investigation into the incident and we urge anyone with any information to come forward."
A 27-year-old woman from Burnley was was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, but she has since been released without charge.
