DANCERS from Burnley triumphed at the Freestyle World Championships in Blackpool.
Around 15,000 competitors from travelled from as far away as Norway and South Africa to take part in the contest at the Winter Gardens.
Dancers from Energize Dance School in Burnley donned their glad rags to compete, wearing costumes that cost up to £1,000 each, and the team managed to take home two trophies.
Adam Milward, 18, came third in the adult boys category, and 12-year-old Elise Thomas came sixth in the under 14 category.
Elise’s mum, Abby Thomas said: “She’s only been doing competitions for 12 months, so it’s a great achievement for her.”
