PUPILS from three Rossendale primary schools learnt about Internet safety by watching a drama presented by Year 10 students from Haslingden High School.
The specially written interactive drama was presented to Year Six pupils from Britannia Primary School, St James’ Primary School in Haslingden and Northern Primary School, in Weir.
They were invited to sit in the green glow of the Internet in the middle of the stage, while a student talked to someone she had met on the Internet and how she and an adult lied about their ages.
Katie Hopwood, 14, said: “As the play progressed, the audience was asked to consider how the characters should react to situations. The drama was part of our theatre in education GCSE work.
“It is a serious story and as it is played out it brings the Internet safety message across in a good way.”
Pupils were also provided with a top 10 of e-safety tips that had been discussed.
