A RAWTENSTALL dance studio and beauty parlour could be turned into offices and apartments.

The Sparkle Dance Academy building, in Burnley Road, has been earmarked for a change of use by owner Andrew Robinshaw.

A planning statement said the site, previously The Dining Room restaurant, had been vacant for several months.

It said: “The proposal for the building is to split the property into two separate functions. “The ground floor area is to be leased out for use as a retail outlet or to provide office accommodation for financial and professional services with its own access off Burnley Road. The upper levels are to be converted to provide living accommodation with three one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment.

“The property will separate easily into the proposed two different uses classifications, both with separate access directly off Burnley Road.”
