BURNLEY housing group Calico has announced the appointment of a new director of customer services.
Helen Thompson has been chosen to take over from Anthony Duerden, who became the Cross Street organisation’s chief executive earlier this year.
Ms Thompson has been Calico’s head of neighbourhood and customer services for five years, and formerly worked for Places for People. She said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to work in such an innovative and customer-focused organisation.
“I’m inspired daily by our dedicated staff, and am looking forward to being part of the executive team as Calico moves from strength to strength and makes a difference to people’s lives.”
Calico chief executive Mr Duerden said: “Helen impressed us with her passion for customer service. She showed real focus on empowering staff, so that they can deliver their excellent work.”
Ms Thompson will start her new role in June.
