PENDLE Leisure Trust and fire officers are setting people a challenge to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity.

The people of the borough have been invited to put their strength and stamina to the test and try to beat the firemen and women at their own game.

Tomorrow they will compete in a day of endurance tests designed to put them through their paces at Seedhill Athletics and Fitness Centre in Nelson.

Individuals and teams of four will take part in a number of activities, and prizes will be awarded to the first male, first woman and first team, plus several firefighters’ choice awards.

The price is £10 per person or £32 for a team of four. All entrants must be over 18. Entry forms are available from all Pendle Leisure Trust leisure centres or Nelson Fire Station.
