RESIDENTS in Bacup have been left with no water and poor supply.
Supplier United Utilities received reports of customers experiencing problems because of a leak in New Church Road shortly after 3.15pm today.
The problem is also affecting Fernhill Crescent.
A spokeman has said that the team of engineers is on route to the site and they hope to get the water supply on again later this evening.
In a statement on their website, a spokesman for the company said: “You may have noticed that the water is coming out of your tap slower than usual or may have gone off altogether.
“We’re sorry about this and will try and get your taps flowing normally as quickly as we can.
“We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know what’s causing the problem.”
