BURNLEY fans travelling to Barnsley tonight were delayed by an accident on the M1.
It happened at around 6pm, and involved a Vauxhall Corsa, a lorry, and a third vehicle.
A driver and passenger in the car, reported to be Burnley fans, were injured in the accident, which happened close to the Barnsley junction.
A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said their injuries were not thought to be serious.
A Yorkshire Ambulance spokeswoman said one person was taken to Barnsley District Hospital.
The accident happened on the southbound M1 just before junction 37 for Dodworth.
One lane was closed, which led to queuing traffic, and delayed some fans travelling to the match.
