A WELL-known pub in Burnley is set to recreate an old-fashioned look as it make plans for the future.

Bosses at the Tim Bobbin, in Padiham Road, are seeking to return the hostelry to something resembing its former layout.

Plans have been lodged with the borough council to reinstate the original basement beer store and remove a flat-roofed toilet block.

And the open-plan nature of the pub, adopted in recent times, will make way for four smaller rooms, with a central ‘milling space’.

More alterations will also see ‘modern’ windows replaced with sash-style replacements which are said to be more in-keeping with the original 19th century building and rendering will be removed to expose the natural stonework underneath.

Two disabled parking spaces will be relocated elsewhere on the site and the land used to create a disabled toilet facility. And a ramp will be established to provide disabled access from the rear car park
