A THUG who attacked his friend with a bottle and hit his partner on the head with a knife in two separate violent outbursts has been locked up for two years and three months.
Matthew Nadin, 19, who had been drinking both times, left Declan Clayton with injuries to his neck and ear after the assault at a house on Leyland Road, Burnley, last June 1.
He was on bail when in January he struck Jessica Walsh, his girlfriend of three years, and then subjected her to 'gratuitous degradation' by dragging her to the floor by her hair as she was bleeding.
When police arrived, Nadin was standing at the top of the stairs and told them: "Its going to be a taser job, this," as, with fists clenched, he made threats to fight them, the town's crown court heard.
The hearing was told the defendant had previously attacked Ms Walsh, when she was seven months pregnant with their child.
Nadin, of Hurstwood Avenue, Burnley, had admitted wounding and assault causing actual bodily harm. He was sent to a Young Offenders' Institution.
