A FARMER has applied to erect a wind turbine at his farm on the outskirts of Bacup.
Colin Moss, of Dickenson Barn Farm, in Old Meadows Road, wants to install a single 21-metre turbine.
A planning statement to Rossendale Council said: “The scale and location of the wind turbine would be such that the impact on nearby residential properties would be low, with any impact confined to a visual appreciation of its siting.
“This on its own would not constitute a material harm to living conditions, and it is thus considered that the amenity of neighbouring properties would be maintained.”
The statement added that the proposal, if approved, would involve some ground excavations when the foundations are laid and the turbine installed.
