A SCHEME that could help people save money on their energy bills is being backed by Pendle Council.
It’s called People Power and involves groups of people using their collective bargaining power to persuade the energy suppliers to offer better deals.
Coun Joe Cooney, Pendle Council’s leader, said: “This scheme benefited hundreds of Pendle people the last time we did it.
“The energy companies offer better deals if they’re presented with a large number of people potentially willing to switch.”
