TWO vehicles crashed in Rossendale Road at 12.55 today, injuring a young child who was a passenger.

Police attended the scene and closed surrounding roads for an hour and a half to remove the cars and remove debris from the road.

The crash between a Vauxhall and a Peugeot was described by police as ‘not-serious’ but a young child, who was seated in the back of one of the vehicles suffered from ‘bumps and bruises’.
