PUPILS in Colne received a geography lesson from a tourism expert who flew in from China.
Pupils from St John Fisher and Thomas More RC High School joined participants in the lecture from around the county at the University of Central Lancashire.
Professor Feng Ling from the Beijing International Studies University, China, visited Preston to share his specialist knowledge on the development of eco-tourism in China. Prof Ling spoke about ecological tourism which has become a new lifestyle trend in China.
Andrea Reeves, a geography teacher from St John Fisher and Thomas More RC High School, said: “The event proved what a fabulous case study China is in the study of geography at GCSE, A-level and beyond. My pupils feel inspired to learn more about this vibrant and interesting country.”
