BURNLEY Council has helped to prevent 48 households from becoming homeless.
Coun Howard Baker, portfolio holder for housing and environment, said in a report: “The council’s prevention of homelessness programme sets out the range of measures that allows the council to continue to improve services to households.
“During the second quarter we provided housing advice to 321 households and 56 households underwent a full homelessness assessment.
“From the 56 assessments, 13 households where given a full housing duty. The council also prevented 48 households from becoming homeless.”
