Woman pushed to floor and mugged in Burnley

A WOMAN in her 50s was pushed to the floor and had her handbag stolen during a mugging in Burnley.

The woman was walking along Rydal Close back to her car at around 6pm on Monday when a man approached her from behind.

DC Shaun Juriansz from Pennine CID said: “We would appeal to anyone who had seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area to come forward if they think they have any information that they think could help.

“We think a second man may have also been involved who was seen to be stood nearby at the time and so we would also ask people to bear that in mind.”
