COUNCIL bosses received a clean bill of health for refuse collection services in Rossendale.
Inspectors from the Health and Safety Executive visited the borough’s depot last month and observed staff undertaking their usual regimes. The officials also checked all current policies, procedures and working practices and reported that staff were working as safely as possible and there were no improvements to be implemented.
David Myrtle, a HSE inspector, said: “As anticipated, we found the crews to be working as expected when we went out to observe their work practices.”
Fiona Meechan, the council’s customer and communities director, said: “We’re thrilled with the outcome.”
