Motorcyclist suffers broken back in Padiham crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist suffered a broken back following a crash.

The incident happened in Padiham on Monday, March 4.

The collision occurred around 6.40am at the junction of Dryden Street and Victoria Road when a blue Ford Focus has collided with a Blue Yamaha 125cc motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital where he continues to be treated after breaking his back in two places. His right arm was also broken.

Sergeant Claire Pearson from Pennine Road Policing Unit said: “I would appeal to anybody that witnessed this collision to get in touch with PC 1191 Neil Goodison at the road policing unit, by ringing 101.”
