A FABRIC firm boss has said he will create four new jobs if he is allowed to open for business Mondays to Saturdays.
Chris Simon, of Immanuel Fabrics in Bright Street, Burnley, currently has permission to open for two days a week.
But he has now applied to extend his opening hours and says he has the support of dozens of his neighbours.
In a letter to the borough council’s planning department, Mr Simon said he has moved his premises’ entrance from Waterbarn Street to Bright Street, to allay concerns regarding access arrangements.
“If I receive permission to open more days I would be in a position to be able to offer jobs for up to four people,” he added.
The restriction on hours was first imposed when the operation received planning permission in January 2001.
