A FORMER furniture centre in Haslingden is set to be turned in to a tyre warehouse and workshop.
Plans for the conversion of the Furniture Centre, in Beaconsfield Street, have been submitted to Rossendale Council.
A spokesman for the applicants said: “The applicant primarily operates in the part-worn tyre market, which has shown to be a popular business model given the difficult economic climate.
“Whilst some additional services are available, such as wheel-balancing, the proposed use will not incorporate any mechanical repair.
“Neither is it intended to provide for the sale of any goods other than tyres.”
