Newchurch man, 85, on supermarket sex assault charges

AN 85-YEAR-OLD man has appeared before magistrates, accused of touching two supermarket staff.
John Moffatt, of Staghills Road, Newchurch, is charged with four counts of sexual assault, said to have occurred on November 21 and 22, last year.
The court was told Moffatt is alleged to have touched two workers, over their clothing, at a Rawtenstall store. The defendant denied the allegations against him and was bailed to await trial before on April 4.
