ANDREW Stephenson MP has called for musicians and small venues in his Pendle constituency and across East Lancashire to rock the Houses of Parliament.
He wants them to enter a Westminster competition which celebrates up-and-coming British artists and the live music venues that support them.
Applications run until March 1 for Rock The House 2013 – a competition open to musicians who fall into the categories of solo artist, band, under 19 solo, under 19 band, and best small live music venue.
Andrew Stephenson MP said: “Rock The House is a great opportunity for aspiring artists of any age looking to find a way into the industry. I am excited to listen to the tracks that the people of Pendle can come up with, and hope to receive as many submissions as possible.”
Brian May, Queen guitarist, said: “It is a great honour to back Rock The House.”
