DOZENS of people turned out for the launch of a charity calendar.

Friends from Barnoldswick, who call themselves the Barlick Bosom Babes, bared all to raise money for their local cancer support charity, the Barnoldswick and Earby Bosom Friends.

The calendar, which was produced in memory of Patricia Cryer, 63, from Barnoldswick, who died in November, 2010, after a 10-year battle with breast cancer, was launched at the B. E. Bosom Friends shop, in Ellis Street, Barnoldswick, on Saturday.

It features 11 women, aged 28 to 40, including Patricia’s three daughters — Amanda, Sally and Emily — who came up with the idea.

Mary Brennan, founder of Earby Bosom Friends, said: “The launch event was very successful. We sold dozens of calendars, though we still have many that we would like to sell before Christmas.”

The calendar, which costs £5.99, is on sale at the shop. You can also contact Mary on 01282 814917 to get hold of a copy.
