A BURNLEY firm looking to expand wants to take over a disused warehouse in the town.
Process Instruments, currently based in Dominion Court on the Billington Road Industrial Estate, want to move to March Street.
Burnley Council’s development control committee will make a decision on the application tonight but it is recommended for approval. Council planning officer Cathy Ryder said: “The application building was constructed as a trade warehouse around five years ago but the use has never been implemented.
“It is now proposed to use the premises for the assembly of small instruments such as water analysers and meters.
“The company currently operate elsewhere in Burnley and hope to expand the business from the 14 people currently employed to 20 people in the next two years.
“Their existing premises are too small and they have searched extensively in the area for a suitable building to enable the business to continue and flourish in Burnley.”
