A MAN with mental health issues, described as ‘extremely vulnerable’, has gone missing in Burnley.

Police said 51-year-old Tim Allen, from Sharoe Green Lane in Preston, was last seen at Burnley General Hospital a week ago.

They are appealing for anyone who has information on his whereabouts to contact them.

Mr Allen, who has no connections with the Burnley area, was last spotted at around 6pm on Monday, November 12.

He is described as white, around 6ft 4inches tall, overweight with dark brown receding hair and brown eyes.

He has a black panther claw tattoo on his left bicep and was wearing blue jeans, a pale blue jumper and pale blue anorak, and was carrying a khaki green rucksack.

PC Tony Tharme said people should not approach him as he may be in an ‘agitated state’.

He said: “We are concerned for Tim’s welfare, particularly as his disappearance is out of character and may require medication.

“Tim may stand out as he is likely to be walking on his tiptoes. I would appeal to anybody that thinks they have seen him or know of his current whereabouts to contact police.”
