Man's foot stuck under forklift truck in Nelson

A 22-YEAR-OLD man needed hospital treatment after his foot became trapped under a three- tonne forklift truck in Nelson.

The incident happened at around 5pm on Monday, at Let’s Play Everywhere, a playground equipment design and installation company in Waidshouse Road. Firefighters were called to help release the man, who was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Acting crew manager Tony Clough said: “The man’s foot was trapped under the vehicle and we used pressure air bags and chucks to get it out. He was in severe pain, but once we got the truck off him, he was quite jolly.”
