Video: Jody Latham stars alongside Tulisa in latest music video

JODY Latham is out to prove he’s still got the X Factor in a lovelorn music video with show judge Tulisa.

The East Lancashire actor stars alongside the former N-Dubz star in the film for her new single, Sight of You.

Off-screen the Colne performer, who made his name in Channel 4’s Shameless, may be facing an anxious time, as he awaits trial on cannabis charges which he denies.

But in the four-minute long promo, directed by Luke Hyams and released through Island Records, he appears to be on safer ground.

Opening on a city skyline, the video unfolds detailing a torrid ‘romance’ between Tulisa and Jody, 29.

In the storyline he appears to cheat on her with a snooker club blonde, and there’s an agonising wait, while Tulisa considers whether to have him back.

She torches some of his belongings on their apart-ment balcony and there’s a couple of brief struggles, set against the mid-tempo ballad.

The tables are briefly turned when Jody spots Tulisa in a clinch with another man, while on a girls night out. But for Jody, who also played pimp Rob Grayson in Eastenders, it’s not the first time that he has had a flirtation with the pop and rock world.

Back in 2007 he appeared with up-and-coming Pendle band International One for their single Moonshine and Roses.

The video, shot by A Moden English Film, featured Jody being driven around the streets of Colne.
