Woman taken to hospital after Burnley crash

A WOMAN was taken to hospital suffering from shock after losing control of her car in Worsthorne this afternoon.

Police were called to the accident at the junction of Daisy Bank Crescent and Brownside Road in Worsthorne at 3pm, and closed the road while council workers cleared oil and debris from the area.

Police say the car was being driven in the direction of Worsthorne at the time, and no other vehicle was involved.
